1.1 Veteran Benefits Australia Prize Draws are trade promotions conducted by Veteran Benefits Australia Pty Ltd (‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’).
1.2 These Prize Draw Terms & Conditions apply to this Prize Draw.
1.3 Our general Terms & Conditions apply to these Prize Draw Terms & Conditions.
1.4 For the purposes of these Prize Draw Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply:
“Commencement Date” is 1 March 2024.
“Closing Date” is 31 May 2024.
“Draw Date” is the date 7 days after the Closing Date.
“Prize” means, for this Prize Draw, the following:
1) Total Value of the Prize: up to $60,000.
2) Unless otherwise stipulated by us, the details of the Prize are as follows:
a) 12 months’ rent/mortgage paid by us and is limited to a maximum payment of $5,000 per month for 12 months.
b) The amount to be paid each month shall be determined by the winner’s:
i) Weekly rent or mortgage repayments; or
ii) Fortnightly rent or mortgage repayments; or
iii) Monthly rent or mortgage repayments.
c) Within 7 days of the Draw Date, the winner must provide to us:
i) A rent or mortgage repayment notice confirming the weekly/fortnightly/monthly rent or mortgage payable by the winner at that time. This must be in the form of a current rent agreement or current loan repayment notice, together with a bank statement or rental receipt confirming the current repayment amount; and
ii) The bank details confirming the account name and number into which payment is to be made, which must be a bank account held in the winner’s name.
d) On the first Tuesday of each month following the Draw Date, the winner must provide to us a rent or mortgage repayment notice confirming the weekly/fortnightly/monthly rent or mortgage payable by the winner at that time. This must be in the form of a current rent agreement or current loan repayment notice.
e) Payment shall be made within 10 business days of us receiving the documents and information listed at 1.4(2(c) and (d) above.
f) Should the documents and information requested at 1.4(2(c) or (d) above not be received by the required time, payment may be made within a reasonable time from when the documents and information are received.
g) Should the documents and information requested at 1.4(2(c) or (d) above not be received within 14 days of the required time, the payment may be forfeited.
“Prize Draw” means the prize draw being conducted from the Commencement Date until the Closing Date with the Prize being awarded on the Draw Date.
”Prize Draw Terms & Conditions” means, for this Prize Draw, this document.
1.5 These Prize Draw Terms & Conditions apply to all entries into the Prize Draw and we reserve the right to change the Prize Draw Terms & Conditions, and the general Terms & Conditions, at any time without notice subject to relevant state/territory legislation approval by posting such changes on our website https://veteranbenefitsaustralia.com/

2.1 This Prize Draw will open at 12:01am AEST on the Commencement Date and close at 11:59pm AEST on the Closing Date.
2.2 A person wishing to enter the Prize Draw must correctly complete the details required at the time of entry (“Entry Details”) so that we can assess eligibility.
2.3 The person whose details are provided with the Entry Details will be the person to whom any prizes will be transferred and that is deemed to have agreed to and accepted these Prize Draw Terms & Conditions and the general Terms & Conditions.
2.4 Entry in the Prize Draws is open to all veterans who hold either a DVA Gold Card or a DVA White Card and meet the following criteria (“Eligible Person”):
(a) a resident of Australia.
(b) persons who are at least 18 years old.
(c) persons who are not Ineligible Persons
2.5 The following persons are ineligible for entry in the Prize Draws (“Ineligible Persons”):
(a) a member of our management committee, including our board of directors and executive management;
(b) our employees or employees of our subsidiaries;
(c) all other parties (and their employees and agents) directly engaged in conducting the Prize Draw;
(d) a family member of a person caught by paragraphs (a) and (b), including spouses, de facto spouses, parents, step-parents, siblings, step-siblings, children and adopted children; and
(e) residents of South Australia.
2.6 It is your responsibility as an entrant in a Prize Draw to ensure that you are eligible under all applicable laws to accept the prize should you win the Prize Draw.
2.7 We reserve the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with the Terms and Conditions.
2.8 All prize values are listed in Australian currency.
2.9 By entering into the Prize Draw an entrant agrees to provide photographs or other media with any prize won in a Prize Draw as reasonably requested of them and also to permit us to film content of the entrant with the prize for reasonable promotional purposes.
2.10 By entering into the Prize Draw an entrant agrees not to make any defamatory or derogatory comments on any social media platforms or other public forum against us, the Prize Draw, any prizes or anything incidental to the Prize Draw.
3.1 The Prize Draw will be conducted at 32 Wright Place, Algester QLD, at or around 5:00pm AEST on the Draw Date and will be appropriately scrutinised by an independent observer.
3.2 The winner(s) will be contacted within 48 hours by email or phone and will be published on our social media pages.
3.3 Unless otherwise stated in these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions, the relevant Prize will be delivered to the winner(s) within 14 business dates of the Draw Date unless otherwise agreed between the winner(s) and us.
3.4 We will cover all delivery and on road costs relevant to the winner’s state or territory if in Australia however we will not cover insurance costs.
3.5 If you are a foreign resident and you are declared to be the winner you may be required to obtain relevant approvals from a relevant government authority in Australia before we can transfer the prize to you. If such approval is required, you must promptly apply to the relevant authority and obtain requisite approval within a reasonable time before the prize can be transferred to you. We may assist in this process but are not obligated to do so. You are responsible for the costs of any application and also for any costs associated with the acquisition of land by a foreign person, other than those costs set out in these Terms & Conditions.
3.6 The winner(s) agree to provide photographs or other media with any prize won in the Prize Draw as reasonably requested of them by us and also to permit us to film content of the entrant with the prize for reasonable promotional purposes.

3.8 If the Prize is unclaimed for longer than the period of 21 days from the Draw Date, we will conduct a re-draw and a new winner will be announced at approximately 5pm, 21 days after the initial draw is conducted. Sign in to your myGov account using your Username and Password.

Sign-in using the MyGov login page
Once you have logged into your account scroll down until you see the heading ‘Your Services’.
Your Services lists the government programs you access that offer online services through myGov. You should see ‘Department of Veteran Affairs’ listed here.
Select ‘Department of Veteran Affairs’.
If you do not see Department of Veteran Affairs listed you will have to link this service to your account (See the video below).

This page shows your digital DVA Veteran Card.
You will see information such as your Card Number, Expiry, Card Type and the Conditions listed on your card.
Select the Conditions Listed drop-down menu to view the conditions listed on your card.
Select Print this Page in the top right-hand corner of the page to download your digital DVA Card as a PDF.
